Now I can blog on the go with my phone. Well, just as soon as upgrade it. One change at a time!

Week Won: walking on the mundane side of Rome

We  have already been in Rome for a week! It was a bit of blur with mostly mundane activities, punctuated by some tourist excursions. The picture is a typical street view from our neighborhood. Most European city apartments don't have laundry dryers and Rome is no exception. Laundry hanging is a common sight. Mine is drying on our patio right now. Small cars and scooters are rampant, too.

We found the grocery store. We adjusted to the new time zone. With coffee of course! These stove top coffee pots make the most wonderful espresso. Yum! Now it's time to plot and plan more adventure...hopefully that won't include any more food poisoning. Once is enough for me. Week Too - bring it on!

Old Fashioned Charm

Every year we stay at the Desmond Hotel in Malvern, Pennsylvania. It's so Rich can easily take the Dressage at Devon judges wherever they need to go, and sometimes at foolish hours. This is Main Line all the way. It's about the horses, the dark woods, the Fox & Hounds wood-paneled pub.

Reflection on the Streets of Philadelphia

I planned my center-city appointments well this year. Plenty of time to stroll the streets and plenty of streets to stroll to reach each destination - including a walk-through of City Hall. It is the most amazing, gothic building. Here you see the church across the street. If you want to see City Hall, check out Google images.

I would suggest this building had me strolling down memory lane, but it has been so well renovated that I barely recognized it. The detail on the building across the street from 1315 Walnut Street is fantastically detailed. I could gaze upon it from my co-work space, where I was able to have my video-conference call. Wondrous world.

Landing on the Streets of Philadelphia

Unexpected street art had me smiling all over. It may not have felt like Fall weather at a balmy eighty-some degrees, but Philadelphia more than compensated me for my sweat equity!
In a twist of events, the building soars the skies and the airplane is grounded on the street.
A smooshed landing at best, this plane graced the square on the backside of the art school.

Every shade of blue on the parkway

It's our annual road trip from Florida to Philadelphia and Rich and I decided to go West. Starting in Asheville, North Carolina we hopped on the Blue Ridge Parkway. A scenic drive with lots of pull-outs to look over the Appalachian mountains resulted in many pictures!

Including at least one picture of taking a picture!
